Kit Carson is a jewelry designer, engraver, sculptor and all-around artist, who lives way out in the Wild West in the Arizona desert at his studio, “Cactus Camp.” His signature style in engraved art jewelry employs strong graphics, a lusty sense of humor, uncanny detail and the smooth curves of Art Nouveau. His inspiration is the rich desert landscape in which he resides. Featured in the PBS Special series, “Craft in America,” exhibiting jewelry at the Smithsonian Craft Show, winning first place in the jewelry category at the Beverly Hills Affaire in the Gardens Art Show and building custom art guitars for Fender Guitar Company are a few of his recent accomplishments. For thirty years, his jewelry has been collected by celebrities and featured in fine galleries nationwide. The joy of making art is evident in the heirloom quality of his design and craftsmanship.
